Under the hood, the Sportage has a 187-horsepower, 178 lb.-ft. of torque 2.5-liter engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive models achieve an EPA-estimated 28 MPG combined, while available all-wheel drive produces 25 MPG combined fuel efficiency. When equipped with trailer brakes, the Sportage can tow up to 2,500 lbs, so you can bring even more along on your adventures.

Outdoor-Ready Sportage X-Pro

The Sportage is available in X-Pro and X-Pro Prestige trims, which add several practical off-road features. On these models, Active All-Wheel Drive is standard, giving you more control over uneven or unpaved surfaces. Ground clearance is also increased to 8.3 inches and durable black cladding is added to protect your Sportage from the elements. Other useful features include LED fog lights, high-utility roof rails, and all-terrain tires.

X-Pro models also feature unique exterior styling, including 17-inch matte black wheels and available two-tone paint with an Ebony Black roof. Added premium features include an 8-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Audio System, panoramic sunroof, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. And for easier access to the cargo area, the X-Pro line includes a Smart Power Tailgate, which opens hands-free when you stand behind it with the Smart Key.

From parking assistance to collision prevention, the Sportage includes numerous Drive Wise advanced safety features to help keep you safer, no matter where you roam. Lane Departure Warning is just one of the Sportage’s standard features, which can alert you if it detects an unintentional lane departure.
