Meet the 2025 Kia EV9: Electrifying the SUV Experience

With the 2025 Kia EV9, you can go fully electric, even when you’re bringing the whole family along on out-of-town road trips. This impressive SUV gives you three spacious rows of seating, plenty of range for long journeys, and quick recharging capability. The All-Electric 2025 Kia EV9

Available in five unique trims, the EV9 offers a range of electric powertrains, starting with the entry-level Light RWD. This model’s permanent magnet synchronous motor produces 215 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque and averages an EPA-estimated 88 MPGe combined, while its 76.1 kWh lithium-ion battery gives it 230 miles of range. Other trims are available with up to 304 miles of range or 379 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque.

Recharging the Light RWD’s battery from 10 to 100% takes around 6 hours and 45 minutes with a Level 2 home charger, while other trims recharge in around 8 hours and 45 minutes. On the road, a 350-kW DC fast charger can recharge the battery from 10 to 80% in under 25 minutes. The EV9’s fully independent suspension produces a smooth and comfortable ride, and Drive Mode Select lets you customize your ride with modes like Sport and Eco.

Three Rows of Comfort

Light RWD and Wind AWD trims come with second-row bench seats and seating for seven, while the other three trims seat six passengers and include second-row captain’s chairs. No matter which trim you choose, the second-row seats slide and fold with one touch, so third-row passengers can enter and exit easily. The EV9’s front seats are heated and ventilated, and its standard tri-zone auto climate control system provides separate settings for the rear passengers.

Both rows of rear seats inside the EV9 fold to increase its cargo volume from 20.2 cubic feet to 81.7 cubic feet. Its Smart Power Liftgate with Auto Close opens when you stand next to it with your Smart Key, so you can easily access the cargo area when your hands are full. There’s even a front trunk with up to 3.2 cubic feet of additional storage, so you can keep items hidden from sight.

Advanced Tech Features

The EV9’s impressive 29.6-inch panoramic display includes a 12.3-inch instrument display for gauges and driving information, a 5-inch climate display, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display with navigation. This large display ensures that all the information you need is easy to see, and over-the-air updates ensure your software and maps are the latest versions. The EV9’s standard eight-speaker audio system includes convenient features like Passenger Talk, so you can communicate with rear-seat passengers without turning around or raising your voice.
