Whether you’re traveling on familiar roads or exploring new territory, the 2025 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid has the comfort, capability, and efficiency to make every journey more fun. Its rugged new look is just the beginning of its enhancements for 2025; this year it also gets new displays, new tech features, and a new trim level.
2025 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid Essentials
The Sorento Plug-in Hybrid’s premium cabin accommodates six passengers across its three rows of seating, with one-touch sliding and folding second-row captain’s chairs that help third-row passengers enter and exit quickly. The cabin surrounds you in comfort, with standard SynTex seat trim, heated front seats, and a dual-zone auto climate control system.
Outside, the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid has LED Daytime Running Lights, fog lights, and projector headlights to improve visibility. It also has a Smart Power Liftgate that opens hands-free to reveal 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space, plus a dual-level cargo floor with hidden storage space underneath. When you need to bring even more, the rear seats fold to create up to 75.5 cubic feet of space, and standard roof rails make it easy to carry large items on the roof.
Powerful and Flexible Powertrain
For daily commutes and errands around town, your Sorento Plug-in Hybrid can operate on electricity alone. A full charge, which takes about 4 hours with a 240V charger, provides 31 miles of all-electric range with an EPA-estimated 74 MPGe efficiency. You won’t need to stop to recharge on longer road trips, however. The Sorento Plug-in Hybrid can travel up to 409 miles on a tank of gasoline in hybrid mode, with 33 MPG combined efficiency.
The Sorento Plug-in Hybrid’s efficiency doesn’t come at the expense of performance. Its 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and hybrid system create a combined 261 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. It has an independent suspension that provides a smooth and stable ride, plus torque-vectoring all-wheel drive with a center-locking differential to help keep you in control when road conditions become challenging.
What’s New This Year
To enhance its bold, sleek new look, the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid adds new 19-inch alloy wheels and a range of new colors this year. Outside, you’ll notice fresh hues including Cityscape Green, Mineral Blue, and Volcanic Sand, while the SX Prestige offers a stylish new Dust Blue leather interior color.
The new entry-level EX trim gives shoppers a more affordable option this year. The Sorento Plug-in Hybrid also has a new 12.3-inch touchscreen display for its infotainment system, plus available driver assistance features like Highway Driving Assist 2, which can assist with lane changes.
When you get behind the wheel of the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid, you’ll experience its impressive comfort and capability for yourself. Get in touch with our sales team at Kia of Marin in Novato, CA, to set up your test drive appointment today.
