2019 Kia Optima Debut, Release Date, and Features
Last week at the New York International Auto Show, the 2019 Kia Optima made its global debut. The highly-popular midsize sedan received a pleasing redesign, with exterior and interior styling enhancements, new driver assistance technologies, and new features for the UVO infotainment system.
The official release date of the 2019 Kia Optima has yet to be announced, but it’s expected to arrive at dealerships nationwide at the latter part of 2018. Buyers of the Optima will have a choice of four trims: LX, S, EX, and SX.

What’s new for the 2019 Kia Optima?
Both inside and out, the 2019 Optima boasts a heightened sense of elegance with its many new premium features across the trim lineup. The LX trim now comes with a matte gray-finish grille, new 16-inch alloy wheels, and LED daytime running lights, while the S trim builds upon that with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, a dual exhaust, a gloss black grille, and projection beam fog lamps.


The EX trim adds a heated steering wheel and ambient multicolor interior lighting. The SX trim builds off of the EX with a sport steering wheel, sport leather-trimmed seats, a panoramic sunroof, and new LED fog lights. It also offers available Nappa leather seating surfaces.
2019 Kia Optima Driver Assistance Technologies
You can have the peace of mind for safety in the 2019 Optima with its many standard driver assistance technologies. This includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, the Forward Collision Warning System, Driver Attention Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. On the connectivity front, the 2019 Optima offers three variants of the UVO infotainment system: UVO play, UVO link, and UVO link with Navigation.
